1. This promotion is open to all residents of the UK and the Isle of Man aged 16 or over excluding employees of Camelot Group plc and their respective families and anyone (other than National Lottery Game retailers) professionally connected with the promotion . You may be required to provide proof of age and identity.

2. The promotion commences at approximately 6.00am on Sunday 4th March 2001 and finishes when 200 Holiday Vouchers (see paragraph 9 below) have been given away or at approximately 7.29pm on 10th March 2001, whichever is sooner (the "promotion period"). The promotion is likely to cease prior to 7.29pm on 10th March 2001 only if sales are higher than anticipated normal (non-rollover) weekly sales for the National Lottery Game. Please ask your National Lottery retailer or telephone National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000 to check whether the promotion is still available.

3. Subject to 4 below, for every 365,000th pound (£) spent on National Lottery¬ Game tickets at National Lottery retailers throughout the UK and the Isle of Man during the promotion period, one Holiday Voucher will be generated by the lottery terminal. (National Lottery Game tickets purchased by subscription are not included in this promotion). If you are the lucky player who spends the 365,000th pound (£) you will be entitled to the Holiday Voucher produced; you will hear a fanfare from the lottery terminal when you purchase your National Lottery Game ticket and a further fanfare when the terminal automatically produces your Holiday Voucher; please then ask your retailer for the Holiday Voucher.

4. For technical reasons the promotion will not be available from 10.55pm to 11pm Monday to Friday nor on Wednesday and Saturday from 7.29pm to 7.30pm. Availability is also subject to the opening hours of individual National Lottery retailers.

5. CLAIM PROCEDURE

  • a) If you win a Holiday Voucher:
    • i) write your name and address on the back of it for security reasons;

    • ii)you must telephone the National Lottery Line, telephone number 0845 910 0000, not later than 31st March 2001 to register your claim. (When you speak to a National Lottery Line representative, advise him/her that you are calling to register your claim in the National Lottery Dream Holiday Promotion.)

  • b) You will then be sent within 5 working days of your phone call a letter from the National Lottery asking you to send to Holiday Promotion, Freepost ANG 9295, PO Box 287, Watford, WD18 9ZY the Holiday Voucher together with written confirmation of your name and address and that you are aged 16 years or over.

  • c) The Holiday Voucher and confirmation must be received by 14th April 2001; (we recommend that the Holiday Voucher and confirmation be sent registered post). Subject to Camelot verifying your win, details of the Holiday booking procedure will be sent to you by 28th April 2001.

  • d) If the winner of a Holiday Voucher fails to register his/her claim in accordance with a) above or fails to submit the Holiday Voucher and confirmation in accordance with c) above, then that Holiday Voucher shall be null and void and that person will have no entitlement to a holiday under the promotion.

6. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. You can also participate by calling 0870 9005455 (national rate) between 6.00am Sunday 4th March and 7.29pm Saturday 10th March. You will be asked to confirm your name and address and that you are aged 16 years or over. A computer will verify whether you are a Holiday Voucher winner by running the odds of 1:365,000 against your phone call. You will be advised during the phonecall whether or not you have won. If you have won you will be asked to reconfirm your name and address and will then receive a letter verifying your win (subject to these Terms and Conditions) within 7 working days. The operation of the computer will be in accordance with procedures agreed with, and supervised by, an independent observer. Average call duration will be approximately one minute. Only one entry per call.

7. The Promoter, Camelot Group plc, accepts no liability for Holiday Vouchers lost, damaged or delayed in the post. We recommend that Holiday Vouchers are sent registered post.

8. A National Lottery Game ticket which entitles a player to a Holiday Voucher may only be cancelled if it is illegible, defaced or otherwise damaged.

9. Subject to paragraph 10 below, there is no cash or other alternative to the Holiday Voucher and no correspondence will be entered into.

  • a) The Holiday Voucher will, subject as mentioned below, be redeemable for a holiday to a maximum cost of £5,000. (A Holiday Voucher prizewinner or his/her transferee (see i) below) can use the Holiday Voucher for a holiday costing more than £5,000, but he/she will then be responsible for payment of the cost so far as it exceeds £5,000).

    Holiday Vouchers are not redeemable through any other tour operators and cannot be used in conjunction with any other travel offer.

  • c) The holiday must be booked no later than 31st March 2002. Holidays must be booked at least two weeks in advance of the intended departure date and all travel must completed by 31st October 2002.

  • d) All holidays must be booked through Thomas Cook Retail Limited. Thomas Cook Retail Limited, acts as agent for tour operators. Prizewinners will be bound by the booking conditions of the tour operator and any third parties supplying elements of the holiday.

  • e) All holidays are subject to availability at the time of booking and the terms and conditions of the tour operator and travel agent.

  • f) If a Holiday Voucher prizewinner or transferee is aged 16 or 17, the holiday booking must be made by a person aged 18 or over and who will be accompanying that prizewinner or transferee on that holiday.

  • g) Each holiday booking is a contract between the individual booking the holiday and the tour operator.

  • h) Each holiday includes in its price free Thomas Cook Holiday Insurance for two adults and two children (aged under 16) for holidays up to 17 days in duration, including Premier Care and Personal Assistance for the lead passenger (subject to normal insurance underwriting criteria; Thomas Cook may decline to insure any traveller who falls outside these criteria). All travellers are responsible for ensuring that the policy provides adequate cover for the individual needs of each person travelling and the activities they plan to undertake. A supplemental charge will be made for insurance for winter sports, passengers aged over 65, extended stays overseas, and overseas motoring cover.

  • i) The Holiday Voucher prizewinner may transfer the Holiday Voucher to a transferee prior to the Holiday Voucher being redeemed, provided that such transferee was himself/herself eligible to enter the promotion under paragraph 1 above and provided that the Holiday Voucher prizewinner and the transferee both confirm that transfer to the Promoter in writing by 15th March 2002.

  • j) If the Holiday Voucher prizewinner or his/her transferee redeems the Holiday Voucher for a holiday costing less than £5,000, Thomas Cook Retail Limited will pay that prizewinner or transferee the difference in spending money, but subject to a maximum of £1,000. Winners/transferees may choose to receive spending money in the form of either standard cheque or travellers cheques. Travellers cheques will be supplied in Sterling or, at winnerÍs/transfereeÍs request and where available, in foreign currency denomination. All foreign currency denomination travellers cheques will be issued on the basis of the relevant exchange rate on date of supply. Exchange rates are subject to fluctuation. Where travellers cheques cannot be issued for the exact amount of the spending money, they will be issued for the nearest practicable sum below that amount.

  • k) If the Holiday Voucher prizewinner or his/her transferee does not wish to redeem the Holiday Voucher or transfer it, then, if that prizewinner or transferee gives written notice accordingly to the Promoter on or before 31st March 2002, the Promoter will pay him/her the sum of £1,000 by cheque and shall have no further liability to that person and the transferee, if any, in respect of the promotion and the Holiday Voucher. If the prizewinner or transferee does not give such notice by that date, he/she will have no entitlement to such payment.

  • l) Once booked, all holidays will be subject to the conditions of the tour operator concerned and any cancellations or changes will incur charges.

  • m) The Promoter accepts no liability or responsibility of whatever nature in relation to the holiday or in respect of any complaints regarding the holiday or its availability.

  • n) The Promoter reserves the right to reject any Holiday Voucher it is deems in its sole discretion that it has been forged, defaced or otherwise tampered with. Photocopies will not be accepted.

  • o) The value of the Holiday Voucher is not covered by the ABTA or ATOL financial protection scheme.

  • p) The wording on the reverse of the Holiday Voucher does not apply to and must be disregarded for the purposes of the promotion and the Holiday Voucher.

11. This promotion is not a game forming part of the National Lottery.

12. Any personal data collected as part of this promotion will only be used for the proper fulfilment of the promotion.

13. The surnames and home towns of Holiday Voucher prizewinners can be obtained by sending an SAE to National Lottery Holiday Promotion Winners, PO Box 287, Watford, WD18 9ZY, after 30th April 2001.

14. Winners will be required to take part in publicity.
